Racing Partnerships / Horse Ownership

Joining a Racing Partnership is one of the best ways to get involved in the Horse Racing Industry. A good partnership allows you to enjoy all the benefits of horse ownership while greatly reducing the financial risk of the venture.

Race training is very labor intensive and therefore very expensive. There is no guarantee that any individual horse will earn more than the amount invested. In order to increase your chances of finding that successful racehorse, why not invest in a percentage of that horse or more than one horse, either simultaneously or at the same time? In this way almost anyone can enjoy the thrill of owning a racehorse.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Life's short, Race hard! Horse racing is a whole different level of intensity when you own a part of a horse. It's elegant, it's a major tax benefit and with the right people it has very high upside potential. Please email Ronney with any Questions. Never hesitate to call and please don't let this opportunity pass. It's so much easier to get in this game when you have someone doing most of the work for you while you sit back and enjoy the ride.

LATEST PARTNERSHIP SUCCESS

BLACK RAPTOR CRUISES AGIAN - Copied from the Spirit of Jefferson on 9/8/2005
As a Labor Day Weekend approached, area race goers may have noticed the rise in gas prices and the cooler temperatures, and certainly the horses that competed at Charles Town last weekend were please with the latter. In Contrast to the previous weekend, when a modest rain storm forced the cancellation of 16 of 20 races scheduled at the track, Charles Town owners, trainers, riders, horses, and fans must have been pleased with the arrival of much drier air this past weekend. Several horses on teh card seemed to thrive onit. Over the past three months, few horses have displayed as much raw speed in Charles Town's one-turn sprints as BLACK RAPTOR. Trained by Ronney Brown for What Can Brown Do For Us, Black Raptor entered last Friday's $26,000 allowance having won three of this last four starts, including a blistering 51.33 victory july 29th.

With Travis Dunkelberger in the irons agian, BLACK RAPTOR was made the even-money favorite from post nine last Friday. Ragged Blaze, who won by seven lenghts in 52.17 against $10,000 claimers on August 10, loomed as his min threat. Ulloa, trained by Amy Albright, was actually the 8-5 second choice under Matt McGowan. When the gate opened in this one-turn dash, Ragged Blaze and Black Raptor both broke alertly within a matter of strides the favorite had ganined a lenght advantage.

Ragged Blaze did his best to stay with the leader as the favorite ripped through a 21.2 opener. Ulloa, claimed two starts back by Albright for $15,000, showed little speed and never improved on his fifth-place position through the first quarter-mile. With his head fairly low, Black Raptor, widened his advantage through the far turn and held a 2-length lead after rolling by the half in 45 flat. Ragged Blaze was clearly second best at aht point, but his chase appeared to be one of futuility. Black Raptor drew clear the final 50 yards to a three length score in 51.63, marking the second straight race that he had eclipsed the 52-second barrier. Claimed for a mere $3,000 from Ernest Haynes on June 23, Black Raptor has won twice in three tries for Brown and given every indication that he is the best sprinter on the grounds. His connections must be hoping that at some point the track will revive its signature race, the $100,000 Charles Town Dash, a casualy of 2005.

CHARLES TOWN WV

Charles Town has increased their purses with the addition of slots, so we intend on taking full advantage to produce the highest possible yield on investment. Both PA and MD are expected to be adding slots to their race tracks in the near future and we will be looking to take advantage of those purse increases.

BENEFITS

Benefits of ownership include huge possible upside on investments, free parking, entrance into the race track and admittance into the stable area, also called the backside. The greatest joy of ownership is being able to watch your horse train and race.

While the purses have increased dramatically since 1996 the number of races are 10 per night, 5 nights a week year round.
